Putting any notes or thoughts I have on markdown here, as a quick reference so I don’t have to look up all the niche things I keep forgetting
Footnotes work like this1:
You have your document text, and then you write out in brackets the footnote tag[^1]
The number or name of the footnote doesn't matter, it'll get renumbered when rendered
[^1]: and the actual note goes here at the document end
